YorkU Student Resources Portal

During my time at university, I noticed that searching for student resources was cumbersome because there are various sources on the Internet. I decided to create a webpage for York University students which compiles relevant and frequently accessed resources on a single page.

Languages

The website was developed utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which are programming languages I was proficient in at the time. I used Visual Studio Code as the integrated development environment (IDE) to code the website.

Resource Filters

The website is structured to allow users to filter resources by category (i.e., Courses and Academics), by selecting the appropriate checkboxes.

Resource Tiles

Instead of merely presenting the resource name and hyperlink, an accompanying image is displayed for additional context.

Resource Descriptions

When hovering over a resource tile, descriptions appear to provide insight about the resource.
